fabrication process fully monitored and under one roof. IDW has an open book policy that emphasizes financial
transparency, accountability, and diligent client and vendor communication while eliminating any duplication
of services or fees. The firm is currently working on a Park Avenue classic 9, Riverside Drive condo and
houses in the Hamptons, Greenwich, Scarsdale and LA.
PHILOSOPHY: Inson Wood's talent for reading and interpreting the tastes and inspirations of his clients
results in truly individualized living spaces. Clients can rest assured that one of his primary objectives
is to help them discover, reveal and refine their design identities in the most tasteful of ways. According
to the testimony of a client, he puts you in touch with your “inner-decorator.” As such, Inson is more
concerned with helping his clients incorporate their personalities into their spaces than he is with imposing
his personal vision on to their homes. His mission as a designer is to make clients feel at home in their
homes
Inson Wood received his Masters of Architecture from Harvard University where he studied under the current
powerhouses of modernism: Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaas and Coop-Himmelbau. Mr. Wood’s multilingual abilities have
enabled him to work overseas on projects in Austria, Japan, Italy, Thailand and France. Prior to that he
graduated top of his class at Cornell University with a 5 year Professional Degree in Architecture where he
won Thesis of the Year, The Sands Memorial Medal, Downing Prize and several traveling fellowships. Upon
returning to New York, Mr. Wood worked for Gaetano Pesce on the widely published Chiat Day Advertising Agency's
New York Headquarters and custom furniture and then later with architect, Daniel Romualdez, on the Vail Athletic
Club Hotel. Mr. Wood acted as design director for master decorator-architect, Juan Pablo Molyneux on Residensea,
and several high-end residential projects in Paris, Vail, New York, London, Naples, Miami, Scarsdale, Boston and
Quebec, some with budgets in excess of 10 million dollars. Upon leaving Molyneux, he worked as director of
architecture and design for David Easton Incorporated where he ran 18 major projects including projects in Aspen,
Mexico City, Greenwich, and New York. His highlight at Easton was working on a gut renovation of a 25,000 square
foot townhouse (New York’s second largest) originally built in 1908 by the renowned architect, Ogden Codman. The
diversity of Mr. Wood’s experiences have allowed him to move between traditional, contemporary and modern styles
with seamless fluidity, often combining styles for truly timeless compositions. |
